ViWaS (Viable Wagonload Production Schemes) is a 39-month research and development project that searches for solutions, strengthening the competitiveness of single wagonload and wagongroup transport.
During this period rail freight operators, infrastructure operators, technology companies and further service providers, research institutions and consultancy firms are joining their forces to
- Capture new markets for single wagonload / wagongroup transport;
- Streamline Last-Mile operations;
- Improve flexibility and efficiency of equipment usage;
- Raise transport quality and reliability.
ViWaS is co-financed by the European Commission in the scope of the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.
